  • Trump Administration LIES Again; Spicer Claims Trump NEVER Accused Obama Of Wiretapping

    News, Politics

In what’s increasingly becoming the norm, Trump’s flying monkeys continue to leap and obscure the obvious. Speaking this afternoon from the White House, Sean Spicer blatantly denied Trump said what anyone with a laptop can confirm; prevaricating with:

“The President used the word wiretaps in quotes to mean, broadly, surveillance and other activities.”

This is an incredibly confusing response to incredibly clear tweets which referred to wiretapping specifically:

Spicer also-unsuccessfully- attempted to deflate the tone of his boss’s crazy comments by claiming  that

“Trump was referring to the Obama administration broadly — and not accusing Obama of personal involvement.”

It’s difficult to see how blatantly accusing a president’s administration of illegal activities would be much better than accusing the man himself, but Spicer clearly  has enough savvy to realize the image of a nation’s President petulantly throwing twitter tantrums is even less becoming when it’s done from personal envy.

As Senator McCain said dryly to Jake Tapper:

“I have no reason to believe that the charge is true, but I also believe that the President of the United States could clear this up in a minute. All he has to do is pick up the phone, call the director of the CIA, director of national intelligence and say, ‘OK, what happened?'”

Trump, however, doesn’t seem to have an interest in communicating with James Comey, or anyone else in the intelligence community; all of whom have disavowed and eye rolled at his latest twitter antics. Spicer’s latest act of truth evasion shouldn’t surprise us. At least he didn’t blame the president’s delusions on sentient microwaves.
